So, here we have it, the obligatory and often unread terms and conditions… and other useful information…

All trademarks are copyright their respective owners, except those which are not… such as zinc3 which is ours…

All prices are subject to change and require certain information from the client to remain within budget and ensure the project is completed in a timely fashion. This includes: digital versions of any logos and trademarks to be included on your site (with appropriate permissions if you are not the trademark holder), all written text and a site plan (or at least a draft of what you will include) for your website before the site design is started. The simple reason being, a site like our Business Starter, should take 7 working days to complete. There has been the odd occasion that a site has taken over a month to produce because the client has not had all the assets in place beforehand and supplied them in dribs and drabs over many weeks. This leads to frustration by both parties as the project doesn’t finish in the expected timescale. I hope you understand.

If a logo needs to be produced, please bear in mind this is not a 5 minute job and will be charged on an hourly basis.

Site design and structure amendments will be charged per hour if they are due to circumstances beyond our control, such as the aforementioned ‘site plan’ changing. Basically, to get the best price possible for the design and setup of your site, just spend a couple of hours (with colleagues if appropriate) discussing your requirements, planning out your site and drafting up copy. It will save huge amounts of time and therefore your money, by thinking ahead.

All work extra to prior agreement, will be quoted for in advance.

Due to the economic climate, any piece of work undertaken, requires 50% (non-refundable) paid up front before any work begins. Unfortunately, we have had a few bad experiences of individuals/companies asking for work which was completed in good faith to then find the individual/company has gone bankrupt.

We also get many requests for ‘free’ websites. Yes we know times are hard and truly sympathise. Everyone has a brother, aunt, cousin or grandparent that wants to start a website business, the truth of the matter is, our prices are for the time taken and the hosting (with our associated costs) involved. These skills have taken many years to hone. You don’t haggle with a plumber, mechanic or solicitor over their hourly rates. Why would we be any different? Is their time worth more than ours?

We hope you understand our reasoning and comply with these conditions.
